Dogs Deserve Better-that is the name of an organization staging demonstrations across the U.S. Saturday. The group says chaining dogs is cruel but some were surprised at the unusual way they are trying to get their message across.

Tracy Miller and other members of Dogs Deserve Better staged a demonstration in Georgetown as part of Saturday's nationwide "chain-off".

To get her point across Miller and the others chained themselves to a dog house.

The Humane Society says it is inhumane to chain dogs because they thrive on human interaction and if they're tethered too long they can become dangerous...

www.helpinganimlas.com reports that four states currently have laws about chaining dogs. Those states are California, Connecticut, Virginia and West Virginia.
