Gail
Downie and Erin Hunt attended the Pet Expo at the West Carrollton
Ohio library, division of the Dayton and Montgomery County Public
Library.They brought along a copy of "Buddy Unchained"
to share with visiting children and their parents.
One
of the DDB Valentine Rescues, Max, attended the event as well!
And
being dog rescuers, Gail and Erin found two abandoned puppies on
the way to the Pet Expo...who also were in attendance!

At
this recent event, DDB Rep Marie Belanger took a creative approach
to promoting the DDB mission. Marie's booth included House training
tips, fence building instructions, the guard dog story, why chaining
is cruel, spay/neuter fact sheet, petitions, and copies of the local
ordinance limiting chaining.
No
booth would be complete with out a mascott rescue dog! The beautiful
pup here is Marie's Brandy Loo!
Marie
purchased dog figurines at Big Lots to sell as a fundraising item
at the event.
A
special "Thank You" to TRU-BUILT, a local company that
sponsored the booth and display supplies.
