What
is Chain Off 2004?
During
Chain Off 2004 we ask caretakers of chained dogs and penned dogs
to take them off chains/out of pens for JUST ONE DAY!
Here's
what we ask:
Give him one day of freedom, one day to be with you.
Bring her into the home. Take her for a walk on a leash.
Give her a bath! Allow her to show what a great companion she can
be.
And then send us your makeover photos and we will post
them on our website. Best photo of giving your chained or penned
dog a happy moment wins $250.00!*
Our sincere wish is that after seeing Fido with your heart
instead of just your eyes, you will realize how much he wants to
be with his family.
*Send
photos to info@dogsdeservebetter.org
or P.O. Box 23, Tipton, PA 16684. We will need a before and after
photo, before being chained/penned, and then off chains and having
fun inside or out!
Contest
rules.
1.
Photos must be received by August 15, 2004.
2.
Photos must be clearly marked with name of dog, address of caretaker,
and name of caretaker, as well as a phone number where we can reach
you if you win.
3. There
must be a before and after photo. This is how we can be sure your
dog is truly a chained or penned dog who is enjoying a moment with
the pack. Any photos received without before and after photos will
be automatically disqualified.
4.
Please remember that your dog is your responsibility. When you take
him/her off chains/out of the pen, you are responsible for his behavior.
Use a leash, or bring him into the home or a fenced area. Dogs Deserve
Better is not responsible for any damages caused by your dog when
you take him out of the pen or off the chains. This contest is not
intended to allow dogs to roam free, unattended. Our intention is
that your dog spend the day with you, and be properly contained
within your home, by a leash, or a fence.
5.
All photos are the property of Dogs Deserve Better, and cannot be
returned. Make sure you have duplicates if you'd like a copy.
6.
Winner will be decided by a panel of seven judges, fairly and unbiased.
If you'd like to know who the winner is, contact us after August
30, 2004.
