This gorgeous art, donated by Rockney Shepheard, is in vibrant full color, picturing Santa unchaining a dog and taking her to a better life, as in the chained dog version of the poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas".

Our model dog, whose 'real' name is Sugar, lived chained in West Virginia with her sister Honey. Both are totally unsocialized with humans, and after being rescued by Mary Sue's group, are now living at the DDB Headquarters in Tipton, PA. We work daily on their efforts to learn to trust humans, but much progress needs yet to be made. If you're great with scaredy dogs, and up for the challenge of a lifetime, please drop us a line!
