MORE WONDERFUL excerpts:
From Angela Sisney, Washington: "My daughters Hannah and Sarah had their second Valentine's party to make Valentines for chained dogs. It's a lot of fun and educates the kids and their parents about the issue. 7 girls and I made 69 Valentines. We hope it helps some dogs finally find some happiness."
From Veronica Burger, Texas: "Thank you for everything you do to change the lives of chained dogs. Maybe we can't make a difference for ALL chained dogs. But YOU DO make ALL the difference for some of them."

From
Ms. Aronson & Ms. Cerrato, New Jersey: "Our Second Grade class has learned a lot about chained dogs. They learned that having pets is a big responsibility. They were sad to hear that people would leave their dogs outside in the cold and hot temperatures. Many of the students knew somebody who did this. Hopefully our students learned an important lesson from this project!"

From Amy Petro, New York: "I found our website through a link on HSUS. You have a wonderful organization! I have been an animal advocate for many years, and I was thrilled to see an organization dedicated to chained dogs. This is such an important issue. Great work!"
From
Reehee Muse: "I My dream is I want to stop animal abuse in America. In my dream animals have a nice and comfortable home. They have the things they need, such as food and water. But animals don't just need food, water, and shelter, they also need love and kindness from their caretakers or anyone else too. I have a dream! Dogs will be loved and filled with joy once again."

From
Cathy Staniunas, Massachusetts: "These treats and Valentines are for that poor white dog tied out in back of that big house with the wreaths on your video. I pray for all animals who suffer so much because of people. I pray for their rescue."
From
Colleen Farrell, Ohio: "Thank you for all the wonderful things you are doing for the dogs. My sister has just recently told me about you guys, and I had to help. I love all living animals and believe they should be treated that way."

From
April Devoe and Tara Lamberti, New York: "We believe this is such a great thing to be doing. Unfortunately so many households still have chained dogs, and the Valentines will all be needed. We were able to contact friends via Facebook, and get them involved as well. By running campaigns like this, the smaller groups such as ourselves get a chance to help out more than usual."
From
Miss Sara's Preschool Class, WV: "We hope these Valentines will help bring a lonely dog inside this winter. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn about what pets need and how to be a good human for our dogs. Most of all, thank you for all the hard work you do to help teach pet caretakers to be humane and kind."
From
Mrs. Ambro: "Our sixth graders made these Valentines for your campaign. What a wonderful opportunity to open the door for a discussion on loving and caring for animals!"
From
Sarah Hinkle, California: "I am head teacher for the Fremont Family YMCA in Fremont, California. I work for an after school program, serving children in K-6th grade. We were excited to help with Have a Heart for Chained Dogs, and would like more information about future projects we may be involved in."
From
Jean Gilbert, New Mexico: "Enclosed you will find Valentines designed by youth from the Las Cruces Boys & Girls Club, under the Humane Society of Southern New Mexico's banner. An article solely on the topic of chained dogs will appear in our paper this Sunday. I will share it with you."
From
McLean School of Maryland: "We learned about your wonderful cause through an e-mail that one of our fourth grade teachers received. We thought that your Valentine's packages were such a wonderful idea and we wanted to help you complete your goal."
From Sarah Hinkle, California: "I am the head teacher for Forest Park YMCA, located in Fremont, California. I work for an after school program serving children pree-K-6th grade. This is our second year participating in Have a Heart for Chained Dogs week, and we had a lot of fun making the Valentines, and are very excited to help."
